ADHD coaching

Assessment & Diagnosis

The ADHD Clinic offers state-of-the-art coaching services for children, adolescents, and adults with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

The key to overcoming executive function challenges is consistency. Dr. Gilman offers individual and family coaching service to help manage ADHD and associated behavioral and learning concerns.

Dr. Gilman offers Three Levels of Coaching:

  • New Diagnosis Coaching (4 week commitment $100/week)
  • Comprehensive Coaching (10  week commitment $250/week)
  • "All-In"  Coaching with on-call service to manage difficult situations (16 week family commitment $300/week)

Parent Training/Behavior Management

10-week group parenting program that addresses common problems of family living as well as management of the difficult child and the child with ADHD. This program is designed for parents with children ages 2-12 years. Sessions include parenting issues such as:

  • Getting Your Child to "Listen" with Effective Commands
  • Setting Firm, Fair Limits on Unacceptable Behavior
  • Reducing Annoying Behaviors
  • Homework Struggles (optional)
  • Scheduling Your Child's morning and evening
  • Using Positive Attention to Increase Cooperation

Parents will learn techniques based on the latest research. Parenting techniques are demonstrated and practiced in sessions. Home assignments help parents put these techniques into action.

Parents must be committed to the 10 week program ($90/week)

Social Skills Groups

This successful 12-week program is designed for children in elementary school (starting end of 1st grade) who have difficulty making and/or keeping friends. During each group session children learn a new skill, practice with group members, receive coaching on their play skills and are given a homework assignment in which they try out their newly learned skill. Parent participation is required. Parents attend a concurrent class and will learn how to help their children make and keep friends by using the skills we teach in our program.

Your child will learn:

  • Conversational skills
  • How to make a good first impression
  • How to “play detective” to find common interests
  • How to join a group of kids at play
  • How to handle rejection, teasing and bullying
  • How to be a good host on a play date
  • How to be a good winner
  • How to be a good sport
  • How to show respect to adult supervisors

The program requires a 12-week commitment at ($90/week)
